About this event

This year's GID is special and long-awaited as we return to celebrate it on campus. To make it even more memorable, we will bring the INSEAD community together through a series of engaging activities and thought-provoking sessions.

The theme, "Our View From Here" centres around Career, Culture, and Community. We will showcase intellectually stimulating sessions and a masterclass by an INSEAD Faculty. Networking opportunities and social activities will be part of the event. The celebrations will go on into the evening with refreshing drinks followed by a delicious dinner.

And, that's not all...there's a raffle to be won!

2.00 pm – 2.15 pm - Opening by Ilian Mihov, Dean, INSEAD; Jaz Chua TIEMBA‘16Jan, President, INSEAD Alumni Association Singapore

2.15 pm – 3.30 pm - Panel discussion : Hybrid organizations & impact on culture.

As the pandemic ebbs and flows, employers and employees are navigating uncharted waters where the rules around work, the workforce and the workplace are evolving and still taking shape.

Across the world, work in organizations is becoming more flexible and fluid than ever. Enter the hybrid model, which is not going away any soon. With this shift in the way we work, it's time to rethink the future of employee experience and how to nurture an organizational culture to support attracting, retaining talent and delivering performance in the hybrid workplace where one-size does not fit all.

Join us for an engaging panel discussion to explore this subject with experts from the industry.

5.15pm - 6.15 pm - INSEAD Masterclass: "The Phoenix Encounter Method"

This session introduces The Phoenix Encounter Method which was developed and tested with more than 1,500 executives in INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program and other senior leadership programs since 2016. Professor Sameer Hasija, one of the authors of this book, will take you through a new method of leadership thinking —the Phoenix Encounter—relevant to all organizations in today’s high-velocity digital era of firestorm disruptive change—dramatically accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This method forces leaders to create a much wider set of radical options for innovation and business model transformation through unconstrained strategic debate. It is a confronting battlefield of completely opposite perspectives to challenge the leader’s status quo, confirmation-seeking, and legacy blinkers. Leaders can then revolutionize their organization with a future-facing blueprint to lead it to new heights.

Guest Lecture : Professor Samir Hasija (Professor of Technology & Operations Management, Dean of Executive Education at INSEAD)
