About this event

GYLS is a by-youth-for-youth Model United Nations (MUN) that goes beyond traditional simulations by serving as a platform for youth empowerment and policy engagement. In its 5th iteration, GYLS showcases a wide array of councils that are suitable for all delegates, regardless of their experience. Delegates can look forward to innovative and academically rigorous councils.

There will be 12 councils in this year's GYLS, comprising of 4 different tiers:

Beginner (0-1 MUN Experiences): AU, CCPCJ, UNESCO, SPECPOL

Intermediate (2-4 MUN Experiences): BRICS+, WTO, HCPC

Advanced (>4 MUN Experiences): CAS, UNSC, HUSS

Specialized: Press Corps, Futuristic Joint Cabinet Crisis

UNSC and Press Corps are double delegate councils.

Do refer to our Instagram Page @globalyls or our website, https://www.globalyls.org, for full descriptions of the councils!

As an aspiring social enterprise, GYLS connects young people with industry, academia, and government to explore real-world issues diplomacy and international relations. The theme for the summit "Fortune Favours the Bold" reflects our belief that courageous, forward-thinking youth leadership is essential to navigate today’s complex global challenges. This theme encourages delegates to step beyond their comfort zones, challenge the status quo, and drive bold, innovative solutions in the realm of diplomacy.
