You might have had food on the table, clothes on your back, even parents who said “I’m doing everything for you” —
but inside, it felt like the complete opposite.
You were left feeling alone in the world, terrified, as though you had to fend for yourself.
Maybe you were constantly criticised, dismissed, or made to believe your needs were a burden.. wondering if you even mattered.
In this session, you’re safe to name your experience as is.
Find the words for experiences that were often invisible, tracing how those early patterns echo into our adult lives - one rooted not in survival, but in genuine self-worth and connection. In this group therapy space, we’ll explore:
- Naming and validating the often-invisible wounds of growing up with emotionally immature parents.
- To recognise patterns we carry into adulthood in self-worth, relationships, and emotional regulation.
- To begin separating our identity from the roles we were forced to play (the caretaker, the achiever, the invisible one).
- To practice gentle re-parenting, offering the support we didn’t receive to our present selves.
Through a mix of psychoeducation, guided reflection, experiential activities, and group dialogue.
