We’re excited to partner with the Rhythms Aesthetic Society for two very special evening walks through Little India: Growing Up Indian, A Heritage Trail.
From vibrant art and flower garlands to temple bells and treasured family recipes, this guided trail takes you beyond shopfronts to uncover the traditions and everyday experiences that make up a rich cultural heritage.
Along the way, meet inspirational Indian women, including artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, who share how identity, heritage, and resilience continue to shape their lives and work.
The journey begins at the Indian Heritage Centre (with an optional guided tour at 4:15 p.m.) before setting off into the colourful streets of Little India.
We’ll stop at Tekka Place to meet women artists, continue on to Jothi Flower Shop to learn about traditional garlands, and wander the five-foot walkways of Serangoon Road, alive with sights, scents and sounds. The trail then pauses at Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple before concluding at Ananda Bhavan, Singapore’s oldest Indian restaurant, where a heritage exhibition and a 14-course vegetarian feast await.
