Series A
1) Social Expectations
- How to approach and make friends
- Reading social cues, understanding social boundaries and responsibility
2) Managing Money + Mindful Eating
- how to make wise choices with the allowance provided for lunch
- how to be responsible for their own food intake and clean up after meal
3) Safety in School
- what is bullying, where to seek for support, what to do if you are being bullied, what to do when you friend is being bullied, what are the safe adult interactions
Series B
1) Managing Money + Mindful Eating
- how to make wise choices with the allowance provided for lunch
- how to be responsible for their own food intake and clean up after meal
2) Personal Responsibility
- learning to be independent to read the timetable
- pack their own schoolbag
- what to do when get home after school
- how to self-learn to manage homework
- mindful movement to look after your own body and mind
3) Classroom Preparedness + Academic Expectations
- classroom awareness and etiquette
- sense of time with each 45mins session
- how to manage fidgeting
- being aware of teacher’s expectations
- how to ask for support in a big group size
- where to seek emotional support if feel they are falling behind
- sneak preview of the textbook the first 3 months
Dates
Series A: Dec 8 – 9 (Thu & Fri)
Series B: Dec 15 – 16 (Thu & Fri)
Time
2 days x 4 hours per day (9 – 1pm)
Rates
$320 per child
