HacKMthon 2023 is a hybrid collaborative event that leverages on knowledge management to address global challenges.

A HacKMthon extends the concept of the hacking marathon - to facilitate intensive collaboration and address challenges by leveraging on knowledge management methodologies. HacKMthon 2023: Global Challenges<ul><li>Generate energy to leverage on knowledge management to address Global Challenges </li><li>Catalyse collaboration between professionals across industries and nationalities</li></ul>Desired End Goal <ul><li>Co-create KM prototypes (solutions) to address Global Challenges</li><li>Cultivate an inter-disciplinary network of collaborative professionals </li></ul>Join fellow KM professionals either in-person or virtually (zoom) to connect, collaborate and co-create solutions in support of efforts by World Bank and United Nations to make the world a better place.

HacKMthon is back on 17 October 2023, with two key global challenges connected with work done by agencies like World Bank and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.Building up on lessons learnt from our previous HacKMthon, we hope to make this year’s HacKMthon more engaging, fulfilling and focused towards achieving more tangible outcomes.This year, we have designed the HacKMthon experience for more effective hybrid engagement. We will still be using Miro as the collaboration platform for both virtual and in-person sessions to post and share thoughts and resources.<ul><li>Zoom sessions shall be shorter. Only 2 hours at a time, at specific time slots (6am, 12pm and 6pm GMT). These sessions are meant for clarification and sharing of views only. Hence your local discussions can still continue, beyond the allotted zoom slots. </li></ul><ul><li>Participants could connect with local communities and form their own groups for deeper conversations. Local in-person events are being organised in countries like Israel, South Africa and Singapore. For those unable to find local groups, simply register with us and we will try to help you connect with communities in your vicinity. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the Zoom sessions to connect with participants beyond your vicinity, to bounce ideas and share insights that your group might have.</li></ul><ul><li>Use the Miro board, to capture your points, and invite inputs from participants all over the world.</li></ul>Come join us for HacKMthon 2023 on 17 October, to be part of KMGN community&#x27;s contribution to solve global challenges.

Challenge 2UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) are based on the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which was agreed upon at the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015, with 17 SDGs at its core.They provides an open access repository of publications, events, programmes and statements related to specific topics (countries, goals etc) <a href="https://sdgs.un.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://sdgs.un.org/</a>In the most recent SDG Report 2023: Special Edition, Secretary-General of the United Nations shared in his foreward, "Halfway to the deadline for the 2030 Agenda, the SDG Progress Report; Special Edition shows we are leaving more than half the world behind. Progress on more than 50 per cent of targets of the SDGs is weak and insufficient; on 30 per cent, it has stalled or gone into reverse.
