About this Event

Overview

SNEF, HPB and landlords in the Downtown Business District have been partnering to make workplace health programmes easily accessible to workers. The collaboration aims to establish Healthy Workplace Ecosystems to make healthy living a default.

In view of the current situation, complimentary health programmes are now available online!

Mode

Sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Registered participants will receive the link to the Zoom session via email.

Do note that slots are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Only those registered will be admitted.

Note: Registration for on-ground sessions will continue to be via the Healthy 365 app.

Note:

Session Synopses

Workshop/Talk/Kitchen

  • A-maize-ing Treats - Delve no more as we discover the magic of corn and eat our way to better health.
  • Be Whole-Some - No grain, no gain. Learn to cook your wholegrain the superlicious way and yield the goodness in every mouthful. Have your wholegrains and be awesome with our wholesome cooking class!
  • Break the C.O.I (Chain of Infection) - Prevention is key. Learn more about infectious diseases, such as the flu, and preventive measures to avoid infections so as to protect yourselves and your loved ones. Participants will get a better understanding on the chain of infection, preventative measures to avoid infection, and antimicrobial resistance and why it is important.
  • Calm in the Storm - There will always be stormy moments in our lives. In such moments, settling problems may not be an easy task. When unhappiness between individuals arises, we need to learn how to manage them. Join us to understand how to maintain the calm in a storm.
  • Ergo Exercise (Lower Body) - Knees and Ankles are the joints that are subject to common injuries due to stress and resistance that being place on the joints. Sprains, strains, overuse, wrong exercise technique, ligaments tear are the most common injuries. All these can be prevented by bringing down your body weight if you are overweight, increase muscle strength around the joints, improve sense of balancing and stability can help to lower risk of injuries. In this workshop, you get to learn the proper technique of strengthening your knees and ankle muscle around the joints. This set of exercises can be done in the office, home or outdoor.
  • Happy Buddy - We want to be with a happy buddy in every aspect of our lives. However, conflicts do arise and we will need to learn to manage them. We will learn about the conflict management styles and how are they useful in different scenarios.
  • Laugh Well - “Laughter is the best medicine” has tons of truth in our human body! When we laugh, our body creates feel-good hormones also known as endorphins. Endorphins enable us to feel happy from inside out almost as soon as we start laughing. So, learn to achieve a more positive outlook in life and ultimately you start to live well!
  • Mental Olympics - You know aerobics but have you ever heard of “Neurobics”? The brain is the crown jewel of the human body. It plays a role in just about everything we do. Just as our physical bodies require regular exercise, our brain also needs to exercise regularly to stay active. Join us as we explore the different ways of keeping our brains healthy for a happy and meaningful life.
  • No Bake Dessert - Simple and easy recipes to follow this summer, without the fuss and buzz of an oven. All you need is a mixer and you are all geared to whip up an irresistible dessert! Join us, to get a feel of it yourself!
  • Snooze Clues - A recent survey has found that 4 in 10 Singaporeans are not getting enough sleep during the week. Sleep is the time our body uses to heal and repair itself. Therefore, insufficient sleep can have profound impacts on our physical, mental and psychological well-being. In this workshop, you will learn the importance of getting enough sleep and what insufficient sleep does to our body.
  • Stress-Less Habits - We are often faced with stress in both our work and personal lives. While we cannot avoid stress, it is important for us to find ways and learn how to cope with the stress. Accumulating stress over long periods of time is detrimental to our health in the long run. Join us in learning how to cultivate habits to overcome and manage stress!
  • The Salad Bowl (I) - Vegetables - Vegetables are nature’s abundance and provide bountiful sources of fibre and nutrients. Discover how vegetables benefit the human body and how they can be enjoyed in every occasion. Watch and learn how to whip up an easy to prepare and delicious salad dish.
  • The Salad Bowl (II) – Dressings, Meat & Alternatives - Salads are not only for vegans and diet-buffs! They can be wholesome in nutritional value with the right toppings and dressings. This session features salad-making with a difference! The recipe comprises ‘knowledge of nutrition’ and ‘healthy cooking tips’ as the most important ingredients!!
  • We’ve Got Your Back - Is your lower back pain holding you back from living life to the fullest? Do you feel like life would be so much better on the other side of the fence? If this is what you can relate to, this is the workshop you would not want to miss. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the factors that lead to back pain and how adopting a good posture can reduce the risk of developing it.

Fitness

  • K-Kardio - A fitness party to K-Pop music hits that incorporates cardio elements for an intense yet fun workout! Suitable for everybody with or without dance background, as long as you love moving to Kpop hits!
  • Oxigeno® - OXIGENO® is a Body & Mind program based on Pilates, Yoga and Functional Training with which flexibility, strength and mobility are improved through a series of harmonious and flowing movements intimately connected to breathing. Mat or large towel is required.
