About this event

In celebration of International Forest Bathing Day on 13 Sep 2025, we will be organising Hello Forest Therapy , a meaningful day of nature connections at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. We invite all who are curious about this heartful practice to join us for guided immersive forest therapy walks offered by ANFT-certified forest therapy guides who will hold a safe space for deep explorations of personal connections with nature. Beyond a leisure stroll in nature, relational forest therapy focuses on the therapeutic effects of sensorial and relational interactions with nature.

Included in the day's programme is the sharing of personal stories by guides about our personal journeys and relationships with nature that had helped improve well-being and mental health.

Feel good, do good! Like last year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the 'Give to the Garden' programme under the Garden City Fund.

The guided walk may require

  • Low physical stamina - Walking no more than 2 km
  • Sitting on the ground on mats

Who are your guides?

We are all trained in the relational approach of forest therapy by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. Though we may be teachers, entrepreneurs, psychologists and medical professionals or coaches by profession, we have experienced the unique heart-full connections with nature and are keen to share this moments with you.

Frequently asked questions

What does the ticket include?

The ticket includes participation in one guided forest therapy walk and story sharing at end of the programme. Refreshment and transportation are not included.

What if it rains?

Forest therapy walks are suitable to take place in light rain and the program flows with the conditions, with nature being an active co-creator of the experience. In the case of lightning and heavy showers, safety will be prioritized and activities will continue under shelter.

Can I bring young kids?

As the activity promotes independent nature explorations and restfulness, we recommend age 12 and above to participate. Parents coming with younger kids requiring caregiving may find it hard to receive the therapeutic effects of the practice.

Is this event suitable for individuals with physical limitations?

While the pace of the programme is slow, it will still involve some walking and sitting on the ground. Individuals should consider their suitability and join with the company of a caregiver and bring their own device (i.e. foldable chairs) to ensure personal comfort.

Is there any religious association with this practice?

Forest therapy is an open practice conducted in a secular manner with the intent to deepen our relationships with nature. Participants are free to draw their own meaning according to their personal faith and beliefs, and have full autonomy over their own interpretations. We are inclusive.
