The laws governing the fashion industry are a complex web that include contract, company, employment, insurance, trade laws, and of course, intellectual property (IP) law. This exclusive seminar will provide you with an introduction to two key IP rights – copyright and trademarks – most pertinent to fashion designers and fashion entrepreneurs. Learn how creators protect their work through copyrights and how trademarks are registered and used in the course of trade. By the end of this seminar, you'll gain a clear understanding of how to use IP protections to safeguard your fashion practice. Case studies include lawsuits involving Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton.
