The Humanist Society (Singapore) has been supporting Pink Dot since our inception. The Society hopes there can be an increase in space to raise awareness of and respect for LGBT persons through public education and media coverage. LGBT persons, including children, are often subject to arbitrary discrimination, bullying and harassment, because of personal prejudices and ignorance. The impact of LGBT discrimination is also greatly felt by the friends and family of LGBT persons, who share in their struggle for acceptance.
Humanist Society Singapore is very fortunate and grateful to be able to return to Pink Dot again as one of the many community tents! We are excited to showcase our engaging activities, including interfaith dialogues and peer support initiatives, to the public.
If you’re attending Pink Dot this year, we warmly invite you to drop by our community tent or picnic mat for enlightening conversations or capture a joyful wefie with our dedicated volunteers! You can also simply hang with fellow humanists at your picnic mat. Bring plenty of shade, sunscreen, and water!
