Join us for a powerful transcontinental conversation between Amsterdam and Accra as we explore what upcycling truly means across different localities.
In Amsterdam 🇳🇱:Moderated by Anabel Poh (Co-founder, Kantamanto Social Club) and joined by Sophia Wintermans (Co-founder, Knits & Notes) and Rafael Kouto (Research Fellow, Jan Van Eyck Academie), this live panel will dive into circularity, waste colonialism, community craft, and street culture.
In Accra 🇬🇭:Simultaneously, our collaborators at Theme Party GH will host a community-led celebration of upcycling culture at Kantamanto Market: featuring live styling, a pop-up, and local upcyclers sharing insights directly from the ground.Two upcyclers from Kantamanto Market will also join the conversation online, sharing lived experiences and practices from Ghana’s most vibrant reuse ecosystem.
