MGS Festival of Arts (FOA) is a biennial opportunity celebrating the pinnacle of our visual and performing arts .
About this event
MGS Festival of Arts (FOA) is a high point in our school’s calendar and celebrates the tradition of MGS arts culture. We believe that the arts can inspire passion, empower the soul and heal the society, especially in such a time as we brave the pandemic together.
Titled Ikigai, the MGS FOA will be showcased in 2 digital productions, Festival of Arts I and Festival of Arts II respectively. Aligned to the school’s theme this year for our 135th anniversary, Here, for a Purpose, Ikigai is a Japanese concept which describes the key to a fulfilled life through finding one’s purpose. The productions showcase every MGS student’s deep-rooted passion for the things they love and the dedication they put in to make every day filled with meaning and joy. As the girls find joy in their passion for the arts and nurture friendships together in this journey, we hope that they too will discover their personal ikigai that energises and comforts them every day.
At the heart of the programming, we present diverse art forms and perspectives anchored in creativity and collaboration organised by the student committee. The festival brings to you curated experiences of musicality, artistry and showmanship. We sincerely invite you to join us in this wonderful MG celebration of the arts!
Ikigai (Festival of Arts II) showcases the International Dance, Indian Dance and Drama Society.
