About this event

US Tariff policies in 2025 have significantly impacted global trade and investment, causing uncertain waves in global growth and to major economies. Foreign investors are facing challenges due to increased uncertainty and potential for retaliatory measures, leading to delayed investment decisions. Consequently, 2025 would continue to experience trade tensions and increased complexity in the global trade landscape.

What would be the recommended solutions for foreign investors? Including diversifying their investment portfolios, or focusing on countries less affected by tariffs, or exploring opportunities in sectors like renewable energy and infrastructure, which are less vulnerable to trade disruptions?

For this reason, SingCham Vietnam, in collaboration with Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam JSC (BIDV), will be organizing the Seminar "Impact of US Tariff Policy and Outlook 2025-2026, Recommended Solutions for Foreign Investors". The seminar aims to provide Vietnam's economic outlook in time of US Tariffs adjustments, up-to-date insights on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Join us to listen and networking with the distinguished speakers from BIDV Vietnam, sharing helpful information and implications for foreign companies and investors operating in Vietnam.

The Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam – SCCV (formerly Singapore Business Group HCM City Chapter – SBG HCMC) is a non-profit organization established on 9 August 1992 by a small group of Singaporeans doing business or working in Vietnam.

Since then, it has evolved from a social club with a membership of 30 individuals into a premier business group with a membership strength of more than 300 members and is growing.

Besides organizing monthly social networking sessions amongst various business communities, seminars on law, and other business-related topics, The association also undertakes charity projects to help the less fortunate in Vietnam.

Since 2001, the association has set up an educational fund from the proceeds of an annual charity golf event to provide scholarships for needy and deserving Higher Secondary school and University students. To date, 2,795 such students had benefited from this scholarship.

In the first quarter of 2023, the official merger between SCCV and SBAV – Singapore Business Association Vietnam in Hanoi is finalized. This merger will lead to the creation of a more significant business association, with a broader membership base, more resources, and a stronger voice in the community.
