About this event
Hi IndoTechers and Friends!
Join us to hear personal stories, share insights, and learn how empathy and support can help us build resilience and thrive in both health and work.
Health is something many of us take for granted, until a challenge such as cancer turns life upside down. But what happens when this journey intersects with demanding tech careers, company culture, and the pressures of living abroad?
In this Indotech Mindlab on Health, we bring together inspiring Indonesian tech professionals in Singapore who have faced cancer personally, or as caregivers. Through their stories, we will explore how to cultivate resilience, practice empathy, and navigate workplace and health challenges, offering lessons that are highly relevant for all of us in the tech community.
What we learn:
- Stories of resilience through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, including experiences with healthcare access and facilities in Singapore
- How companies support employees during health challenges, including HR policies, insurance coverage, and workplace culture
- Insights on how caregivers and survivors balance family responsibilities with professional life, and the ways technology can ease the journey
- Practical takeaways for strengthening resilience and empathy, staying mentally, emotionally, and physically strong, and adopting healthier habits in demanding tech careers
Speakers
- Ima Abdulrahim
- Dedhi Sujatmiko
