Join us for a relaxed and entertaining discussion over lunch on International Women's Day at the iconic 1919 Waterboat House, which features the intimate 1919 Restaurant, with flavours of the sea meticulously created with French culinary techniques. A delicious lunch menu will be served and we will have engaging discussions on the topics of Career Advancement, Women Entrepreneurs, Building a Personal Brand, Work-Life Balance. Our key note speaker is Sumitra Pasupathy (MBA01D), Director of Ashoka and Co-founder & Director of Playeum, The Children of Creativity.

Sumitra is a leading woman in the field of education, entrepreneurship, innovation and social change. In her 22 years of career and personal advancement she celebrates many encounters across career sectors, working in different parts of the world as well as a mother and wife with three children. Sumitra joined Ashoka in 2015 as the Director for Ashoka Singapore and the representative for the region. Sumitra is a social entrepreneur and Co-founder and Board Director of Playeum, an innovative education content and service provider centered on creativity for children and families based in Singapore. Prior to that, Sumitra has over 15 years of professional experience in product development and creative content development. She has had senior-level professional experiences internationally with Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Bertelsmann AG and Random House UK, prior to Playeum. A Malaysian who is trained as a Chemical Engineer from Cambridge (MEng) with an MBA from INSEAD with several patents, awards and a deep rooted passion for children, education and social change.
