Museum Research Week 2026

Museum Research Week is a series of events lined up from 24 to 26 March 2026 presented by NUS Museum, inviting students, academic staff and NUS community to explore the different modes of research work with the Museum's collections.

<h2>Join us for the Interspace Soft Launch!</h2> As part of the soft launch for Interspace, Project Assistant Aqil Akmal (NUS Dept. of Architecture, Class of 2025) and Artist Ong Chan Hao (NUS Master of Architecture, Class of 2021) will share insights into their design and creative processes, offering perspectives on the methods and approaches behind this collaborative work with the Museum. Interspace Soft Launch is presented as part of Museum Research Week. As part of this soft launch, limited edition Interspace merchandise will be given out. Refreshments will be provided. About InterspaceInterspace is a mobile museum project by NUS Museum that expands and mobilises exhibitions beyond the Museum’s site. Emphasising mobility as a form of agency, the project fosters dialogue, collaboration, and site-responsive engagement. Its modular and flexible design adapts to diverse spatial and conceptual needs, functioning as both an exhibition space and a research platform. About Museum Research Week Museum Research Week is a series of events lined up from 24 to 26 March 2026, presented by NUS Museum, inviting students, academic staff, and the NUS community to explore different modes of research produced through engagement with the Museum’s collections. Throughout the week, the various talks, sharings, and tours will shed light on how students, faculty members, research fellows, and museum staff conduct research on and with objects in the NUS Museum’s collection. The Museum Research Week will also launch the open call for the upcoming cycle of Student Research Fellowships for the Academic Year 2026/2027.Alongside the presentations, there will be all-week displays around the Museum that visitors can engage with, including poster presentations, a mobile museum display and the Research Fellows’ open studio.
