Program Objective

This workshop is uniquely developed to be a highly practical and hands on workshop that will allow the trainer to coach each participant in a very comprehensive manner. It is designed to provide each student the opportunity to not only learn the theory, but to actually put the skills to use and to have an experiential mock interview to deepen their understanding.

The MMI format is no longer restricted to healthcare interviews and has been increasingly used in various forms in scholarships and recruitment interviews. This workshop will provide in depth coverage of both the General Interview as well as key MMI stations that are frequently used, including Scenario Based Questions, Role Play Questions and more.

This workshop will be run by Discovering Potential's founder, Hwang Siew Ling, who has extensive experience training students in the areas of Interview and Communication Skills. She has also conducted and designed various workshops with many schools in Singapore. Siew Ling is an Interview and Career Coach, and she is a Certified Advanced Behavioural & Career Consultant, as well as a Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Siew Ling's full CV can be found here .

Reviews by past participants:

Ang Y.C., age 16: The trainer provided a lot of insights — types of interview, types of interview questions and how to tackle them. It was really interactive as well! This ensures that we’re not just passively learning throughout the workshop.

Nicholas, age 18: The instructor, Ms Hwang was really cheerful and elaborative to help all students participate and learn more about becoming a better, more prepared candidate during MMI. So i was really grateful to be part of such a workshop!

A. Ghafur, age 18: It was really fun and crucially, everybody got to have a say and practice which I really appreciate because this does not happen often for workshops I have attended.
