Learn the beautiful, therapeutic and tradition rich medium of Chinese Ink Painting, which is also a prominent form of art in Japan and Korea.

Students will be introduced to learn the techniques, materials and skills required in Chinese Ink Painting. The art form itself is tricky to master – the brushstrokes and the way to manoeuvre ink and water. With this art course, students will be able to pick up ink painting techniques starting from the foundation of Chinese Ink Painting, learning subjects such as the “four gentlemen” – plum blossoms, chrysanthemum, bamboo, orchids first, then moving on to learning popular subjects of birds and flowers, and introduction of landscape painting and creative abstraction with landscape painting, and gain an appreciation and understanding to Chinese ink painting practise and composition.

Every Monday evening, 7:30pm -9:45pm (Ongoing registrations)

Price: $45 nett for a trial class, with all materials provided. ($80 nett /2 pax)

All art materials and free flow of beverages (hot/cold water, tea and instant coffee) is provided in the course fee.
