Introduction to Pygame - 5-day Course for students interested to make games with Python
INTRODUCTION TO PYGAME
Prerequisites: Completed Principles 3 / Junior Python 3 and proficient in Python Lists and For-Loops (If unsure, please contact for an assessment!)
Having been introduced to a data structure, lists, in Principles 3, students will embark on the creation of their first video game in Python using Pygame. The understanding that the components in video games are just complex data structures will open a realm of new possibilities, as they manipulate the data structures in Pygame to solve their game requirements.
Code Campers will learn about the tools that Pygame has to offer in a visual and engaging course, one step up from the largely text-based content they have encountered in their introduction to Python.
*Pygame is a lightweight albeit powerful Python game engine that allows students to build and examine the internal workings of some of their favourite video games.
