About this Walk
From a historic squatter settlement to one of Singapore’s most iconic neighbourhoods, Toa Payoh is a story of reinvention. Join long-time former resident Jinhua as he takes you on a journey through the heart and spine of Toa Payoh, from the beloved Dragon Playground to the changing urban fabric of the town. Along the way, reflect on the town’s transition and how its spaces serve everyone, including those who may have different needs and perspectives. Whether it’s the bustling town centre or quiet corners, this walk invites you to see Toa Payoh in a new light and think about how we can all contribute to creating a neighbourhood that works for everyone.
