Join us next Saturday 16 August from 3-4pm for a wine tasting led by Taka-san who also used to make wines. We’ll explore Japanese Chardonnay with different vinification methods and from different altitudes! 🙂

About Takayuki Kaneko

Before moving to Singapore, Taka-san was working as a winemaker in Japan and France. He started his career as a perfumer, where he studied aromas in depth and memorized over 1300 kinds of aroma ingredients and their complex interactions. He was involved in the creation of many perfumes (he might have had a hand in some of the fragrances that you use!). After that, he moved to study at the University of Bordeaux where he dived into the world of winemaking and later worked at in Pessac-Leognan. He graduated university as the best wine taster and began working at an urban winery in Japan. The first wine he oversaw won a Gold award at a Japanese Wine competition too.
