This 3-hour workshop is designed for beginners who are looking to include simple food illustrations in their journals or sketchbooks whether for travel or in your day to day life! In this workshop, we will be learning how to paint expressive food illustrations by sketching them first with pigment waterproof pens and then painting them with watercolor.
We will explore different techniques and how to add details starting with easy subjects such as vegetables and desserts followed by more elaborate meals. You will hopefully gain the confidence to create your own food illustrations after this fun workshop through practice.

About the Instructor:
Szetoo Weiwen is a self-taught illustrator specialising in food and daily musings. She was previously a wedding and event photographer, a travel journalist, a copywriter, a catering manager and ran a vegetarian blog called Eat-Light Asia. Having always loved food culture, Szetoo also co-wrote a book on Malaysian food and the stories behind them called The Food That Makes Us along with Limei Foong whom she met while waitressing at the age of 17. Today she teaches art workshops and runs a quaint little stationery store called Stickerrific located in the heart of Petaling Jaya.
