About the Programme/Event

Many caregivers are often overwhelmed by their caregiving duties, so it is important that they have their own hobbies and find time to unwind. In this basic yoga workshop, learn some breathing techniques and have a good stretch to relieve stress. This workshop provides an avenue for respite, allowing caregivers to nurture a new interest, learn self-care skills, and connect with other caregivers. It is facilitated by a certified yoga instructor, who is also a caregiver caring for a loved one diagnosed with dementia. Non-caregivers are welcome too.

No prior experience with yoga needed. Please bring your own yoga mat.

About Caregiver Support Network (CREST-Caregivers Dementia Singapore @ Nationwide):
The Caregiver Community Outreach Team (CREST-Caregivers) focuses on caregivers who have or are at risk of developing depression, anxiety, and burnout due to their caregiving roles. The team increases public awareness of caregiving concerns, promotes identification of caregiver needs, supports caregivers in self-care, and links caregivers up with support groups and counselling services where needed.
