Kek Lapis may be a challenging snack to tackle. Always can’t get it right? Wasted lots of ingredients in the process?
Fret not, this 20 year old recipe have undergone lots of improvements and refinements and is now available to be learnt from our Instructor Winnie Jau.
A veteran instructor who has taught desserts, cakes and traditional kuehs for many years in Community Centres in the past is now giving out her secret recipes for those who really want to master this classic traditional kek.
This time she included a “福“ using prune, to further enhance the aesthetic image of this kek.
Let’s join her to make this to 福lapis to serve in the upcoming Chinese New Year or any time of the year.
Course Contents
- Introduction to key ingredients
- Learn to achieve a good batter
- Learn to transfer Chinese Character “Fu 福”onto cake
- Learn the baking techniques
- Learn tips on storage
Bonus: Instructor will be sharing knowledge on adding other fillings (cheese & durian)
Class will be conducted in Mandarin.
