Interactive discussion session moderated by H.E. the 9th Neyphug Trulku Rinpoche and Dr Dinesh Nair.Together with Dr Ben Ng joining in the panel discussion, interesting insights will be presented from the medical, scientific and spiritual perspectives.

His Eminence, the 9th Neyphug Trulku Rinpoche (Neytrul Rinpoche), is from the Kingdom of Bhutan. He completed his nine-year advanced studies at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute founded by the late His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. As Professor of Buddhism studies, His Eminence has an in-depth understanding of Buddhist philosophy and practices.

Dr Dinesh Nair is a cardiologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals. His sub-specialty is in Interventional Cardiology, with special interest in percutaneous valve therapies, complex angioplasty and stenting procedures. Dr Nair graduated in 1996 from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He worked in Ireland and the UK before returning to Singapore; and he had also trained with Prof Eberhard Grube, one of the pioneers of Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of various medical academies and has published numerous scientific papers in cardiology.

Dr Ben Ng is an endocrinologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He graduated in the UK with accreditation in diabetes and endocrinology and general internal medicine. He was awarded MD with honours in recognition for his research in diabetes mellitus in 2010 before returning to Singapore a year later. Dr Ben is very active in helping the community to combat the rapid rise of diabetes by promoting awareness of the dietary and intervention programmes he has designed, which are widely used in hospitals. He has been invited to speak at international meetings worldwide and his research work has been published in numerous international journals with his work being cited in over 100 scientific articles.
