Lecturer: LALITA HANWONG

Lalita Hanwong is an associated professor at Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, in the Department of History. Her area of expertise is Myanmar’s contemporary history, particularly during the postcolonial era and its impact on current political, economic and social situation as well as the relationships among minority ethnicities. Besides teaching and research, Lalita also writes a regular column, ‘Thailand Meets Burma’, for Matichon Daily newspapers, as well as contributes articles to several web-based publications.

The lecture will be in Thai with consecutive English, Japanese, and Indonesian interpreters.
