Does your child mix up words like on, under, next to, or between? Prepositions are essential for understanding classroom instructions, telling stories, and describing everyday experiences — but they can be tricky for many children!


Preposition Builders is a fun, hands-on group language programme led by an AHPC-registered Speech Therapist. Using the magic of LEGO®, we help individuals improve their understanding and use of spatial and positional words like:

  • in, on, under, over
  • behind, in front of, between
  • top, bottom, middle, centre, sides, edges, corner


Through structured play, storytelling, and peer interaction, your child will learn how to follow instructions more easily and express themselves with greater confidence — at home, in school, and during play.

  • Understand and follow spatial directions more accurately
  • Use prepositions correctly in everyday conversation and storytelling
  • Support turn-taking, descriptive language, and collaboration
  • Build visual-spatial awareness and sequencing through hands-on play

👥 Group Size: 1: 1 individual session or Small group (2–4 participants)

If you're unsure, we offer a brief screening to determine suitability.

Can neurodivergent or individuals with special needs attend?

Absolutely! Our therapist is experienced in supporting neurodivergent and individuals with special needs, including those with autism or ADHD.

Can parents observe the sessions?

To encourage independence, sessions are drop-off. Parents will receive brief updates after each session.

What if my child misses a session?

We will provide a summary and home activity so your child can catch up. Unfortunately, make-up sessions are not available due to group structure.

How do I know if this is right for my child?

If your child struggles with following directions, describing where things are, or telling stories clearly — this programme is designed to help.
