For kids and adults, singing bowls help to release stress and improve focus. For meditators, the sounds of the singing bowl help deepen the meditation experience. Join us in this workshop to find out many more ways that we can do with the singing bowls to bring more wellness in day to day life.
What will I learn in this workshop?
This workshop will give you a comprehensive experience with the singing bowls. You'll first experience how the singing bowls impact you in different ways.
After gaining understanding of the mechanism, participants will quickly pickup skills in playing the singing bowls through lots of hands-on practises. At the same time, with our extensive range of singing bowls in store, you'll learn to identify the different makes of singing bowls, sound characters and their tangible impacts to us.
After this workshop, you will know....
- How the sizes, sound characters, pitches of the singing bowls affect us
- When to use which type of singing bowls
- The many ways of holding the singing bowls, the playing sticks and the mallets
- The different ways of sound production with the singing bowls to achieve the desired results
- 3 simple, direct and effective ways of daily practises with the singing bowls
- 2 simple yet powerful techniques of singing bowl therapy/healing that you can perform to others.
- How to select singing bowls for yourself and how to build the collection
- Lots of interaction with different bowls... receiving and giving healing to each other
Who can take part in this workshop?
This workshop is non-religious, and suitable for beginners and people with or without any kind of beliefs. Anyone who are interested in using the singing bowl to enhance their yoga, meditation, metaphysic practises or even just bring peace into daily life will find this workshop useful. Be ready to be involved in plenty of hands on practises and coaching in this 2.5-hour session.
Participants will be awarded certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.
Our Studio
Our Wellness Studio is a space that is dedicated to hosting and conducting sound healing related sessions and training. We also offer personal Singing Bowl Therapy sessions by various Sound Healing Practitioners. Do contact us for your appointment.
Our Facilitator
Christina Shiu, founder of The Singing Bowl Gallery in Singapore, is a Singing Bowl specialist. Christina’s learnings and teachings are rooted in the original lineage from world renowned Singing Bowl Master teachers, Santa Shakya and Shree Shahi. She has been consistently offering sound bath meditation sessions and Singing Bowl Workshop monthly for the pass 5 years. Many of her students are now offering singing bowl events in major yoga studios and wellness centres. She has also been invited to train spa practitioners in luxurious hotels in the region and performed in opening ceremonies of regional events. She also conducts wellness sessions with the singing bowls for corporations and government agencies in Singapore.
