About the show

Experience an evocative Spanish dance performance that brings together the worlds of poetry, visual art, and movement.

Inspired by Federico García Lorca’s Don Perlimplín y Belisa en su Jardín and the luminous abstract works of Fernando Zóbel, this performance explores the universal themes of love, longing, and vulnerability through expressive choreography and music.

Presented by dancer and arts producer Tania Goh, the show features special guest artist Paloma Gómez, former dancer of Spain’s renowned Ballet Nacional de España, alongside dancers from Spanish Dance Singapore.

About the Performance Lecture

It's a rare occasion when the Chief Curator of the National Gallery himself guides you personally. So Join Tania Goh and Chief Curator Patrick Flores as they delve into the theme of connections surrounding Fernando Zóbel’s artistic journey.

Weaving performances and dialogue, Goh will use Zóbel’s Saeta series to draw connections between his artistic pursuits and her own creative practice.

Catch special guest artist, Paloma Gómez, former dancer of Spain’s renowned Ballet Nacional de España, evoke the emotion of the Saeta and Spain’s Semana Santa, Holy Week.
