In conjunction with International Women’s Day 2026, INSTINC is proud to announce Madness Measured, a group exhibition bringing together a diverse cohort of women artists. Spanning new media, glass, installation, and performance, the show investigates the delicate equilibrium between rigorous technique and the chaotic intuition required to break new ground.
Curatorial Statement By Shih Yun Yeo, Founder and Creative Director of INSTINC
Discipline meets disruption. On International Women’s Day, Madness Measured presents a spectrum of women artists navigating the razor’s edge between control and chaos. Through new media, glass, photography and painting, video, installation, performance, this exhibition explores the dual forces of creation: the Measured (structure, algorithm, technique) and the Madness (intuition, risk, disruption).
Here, madness is not a loss of control, but a deliberate calibration of intensity. It is the moment the ceramicist surrenders to the fire, the coder invites the error, and the painter breaks the grid. This is a celebration of women who master the rules only to rewrite them.
