The MAJU Series workshop is broken up into three separate sessions. Be sure to sign up for all the sessions to get a complete view of the MAJU Framework for SME Sustainability.

The business case for sustainable SMEs could not be greater. The health crisis has exposed glaring gaps in business continuity, supply-chain integrity, employee protection and more. Cognisant of the fact that sustainability can be overwhelming for the SMEs, UNGCMYB created The MAJU Framework to help SMEs identify and leverage sustainability as a source for growth and adapt to globalisation.

Through the use of the MAJU Framework, its various tools and guides, we’ve made it easy to take your first step by helping make meaning, investigate, create, implement and improve your sustainability journey.

In this session MAJU Series 2 ACTIVITY, JUSTIFY AND UPGRADE, Raising the Bar, UNGCMYB takes you through the remaining elements In the MAJU Framework for Sustainable SMEs. The 1 hour session will take participants through the following tools and resources:

ACTIVITY - Though rooted in a good strategy, sustainable impact is delivered through careful execution of activities that create measurable results. A sound strategy should be transformed and enhanced during the implementation process, so if it’s perfect, it’s only because it was shaped by execution. The ACTIVITY stage is where the tires meet the road and we take participants through a curated list of sustainability activities to cover Sustainability Actions Map, Responsible Certifications Map,

JUSTIFY - What gets measured gets done. It means regular measurement and reporting keep you focused — because the information used to make decisions that improve your business results. Reporting or disclosure helps even small organizations to understand and communicate their sustainability impacts and performance to stakeholders, thus improving business reputation and ultimately contribute to a more sustainable future. In this session, we take participants through the various ways to set sustainable impact goals, communicating progress and how to complete the sustainability impact matrix tool.

UPGRADE - At the end of the day, a good strategy is just half the battle won, it still boils down to execution. So always asks, what was supposed to happen, what happened, and why did what happen happened! In this session we take you through the use of strategic tools to clarify and review opportunities for innovation as it responsible for up to 85% of all economic growth. And that is the reason why every strategist should have a toolset of analytical models at his or her disposal. In the final MAJU session, we take you through a suite of management tools to help you conduct a strategic review of your company’s sustainability parameters and seek new paths for growth.

This session is part of the SME SDG Festival (SSF21) that runs form 8 – 12 November 2021.
