You will gain a better understanding of how CPF works, what happens at age 55 and the various CPF Life plans available at age 65. You will also learn about CPF nomination.COURSE OUTLINE• Overview of Ordinary, Special, Medisave and Retirement Accounts• The changes to your CPF Accounts when you are 55 years old• The Retirement Sums that can be set aside at 55• CPF topping up schemes to boost retirement savings• Types of CPF LIFE plans and their payouts• CPF NominationWHO SHOULD ATTEND• Those who want to learn about how CPF prepares them for their retirement, the CPF LIFE payout options and CPF nomination.About Our TrainerMaheanMaheantharan joined the Singapore Polytechnic as a lecturer in 1982. He was rapidly promoted through the ranks and became the Director of the School of Business in 1996. He spent 14 years as its Director and established it as one of the top schools in the polytechnic sector. In 2010 he assumed the Directorship of the Polytechnic’s Professional and Adult Continuing Education Academy. He grew the Academy’s revenue from 12 million dollars to 22 million dollars in the 3 years when he was its Director before taking on the portfolio as Director of the Institute for Financial Literacy (IFL) in 2014. Under his leadership the Institute has seen rapid progress and has trained more than 150,000 participants through its workshops and talks across the country in various aspects of money matters during his 5 years at IFL.He is now a senior lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic teaching Maritime Law and Economics.He is an accredited a mediator who volunteers at the Singapore State Courts and the Singapore Mediation Centre. He is the secretary of the Management Committee of a Halfway House which helps its residents in rehabilitation and reintegration into society after their incarceration.
