Joy Rankothge is a Principal at Country Acuity Advisors a boutique Asia focused frontier and emerging markets risk advisory firm. He has 15 years of experience, analyzing political, country, sovereign and emerging markets risks, opportunities and trends. He has advised multinational companies, institutional investors, bankers, political risk underwriters, pension funds and governments. Joy has assessed how macroeconomic and political developments impact business and has reviewed over 750 Asia focused transactions, ranging from USD $10mil to $ 750mil. He has presented and moderated conferences across ASEAN and India and his research has been quoted by the Financial Times, Reuters, Forbes and other regional publications.

Joy also serves as a strategic partner to Limark Technologies, a services firm that acts as a technology growth catalyst to Silicon Valley Start-ups, entrepreneurs and VCs.

Joy was Vice President and Senior Analyst with Moody’s Investors Services focusing on South and Southeast Asia. Prior to Moody’s, Joy worked for Canada’s commercially operated export credit agency, Export Development Canada, (EDC) for over seven years. He also worked at BearingPoint (now Deloitte Consulting) for 5 years in their Emerging Markets practice in the US.

Joy Holds a MA in International Relations and Economic Law and Business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University (US) and a BA from Knox College (US).
