DELIVERY FORMAT

The training session will be conducted in-person over a full day to allow for comprehensive coverage of the topics and ample time for practice and feedback.

Multimedia presentations, case studies, and interactive exercises will be utilised to engage participants and facilitate learning.

Small group discussions and role-plays will provide opportunities for participants to apply new skills in a supportive environment.

A professional cameraperson will film the role-plays, which will be played back with feedback given on the spot by the trainer.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Erdem Koch has more than 15 years’ experience across the full suite of communications and media training activities.

For more than a decade, he worked as a journalist, starting his career at the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) in Melbourne, and then worked across the newsrooms of Network Ten and The Age newspaper, before moving abroad to work as a foreign correspondent, where he wrote for the Herald Sun, The Australian and Daily Telegraph.

He then became the Executive Producer of Australia’s flagship television political discussion program Insiders on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

For six years, he also taught journalism and strategic communications across the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at La Trobe University.

Since 2018, he has been training professionals in media and effective communications, spanning both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. He has trained hundreds of executives, spokespersons, and communication teams worldwide, helping them hone their messaging, refine their media presence, and navigate challenging communication landscapes with confidence.

His comprehensive approach integrates practical experience with theoretical knowledge, ensuring his clients develop skills that are immediately applicable and sustainable in today's rapidly evolving media environment.
