The module adopts a practical hands-on approach to voice training so that students speak clearly in online interviews, discussions or meetings. Students will learn what is meant by articulation, enunciation and pronunciation, and why these vocal attributes matter in their online oral communication. They will also learn how eye contact, facial expression and gestures can help them underscore their message and help them convey enthusiasm and engagement with their online interlocutors. They will have opportunities to practise speaking and have customised coaching on specific vocal qualities.
Overall aim: To help students articulate clearly when speaking online e.g. interviews, discussions or meetings.
Specific aims: By the end of the module, students will have learnt how to:
1. Give aural shape to their utterances.
2. Enunciate more precisely
3. Energise their vocal delivery
