Maximum Wellness at Maxwell Market
Overview
Not another local brand showcase you say?
We know the markets market is saturated. As conscious consumerism and a holistic sustainable lifestyle become increasingly part of the zeitgeist, it seems they are everywhere every weekend.
But here is where we differ.
We have been steadfastly independent since our first market in 2018 - no brand or organisational affiliations, no virtue signalling, no green washing. We didn't commercialise, we didn't sterilise and we definitely didn't compromise (because we do this for the fun!)
All curation is done by culinary anthropologist Nithiya Laila, who has been sourcing from local farms and valuing the artisanal for more than two decades. But quite wonderfully, this time, we have some friends joining us to create a layered comprehensive perspective on true wellness
- Venue partner AIBI Fitness will have a fitness playground to try out their signature workout equipment
- George of Spiffy Dapper and Sago House who famously DIYed his award winning bars brings some tinker tailor masters down
- Switch Wellness with its co founder OG Wim Hof instructor Chun does ice baths and supplemental biohacks
- Chris of Wild Pearl pushes the afternoon bliss music with their roving moving cycle powered sound system.
All in addition to the usual daytime gathering to celebrate the best of Singapore’s artist soul in all our growers, makers and creators.
The dreamers that have decided to take that alternative path focused on the artisanal, the sacrifice of the craftsman, the small, independent, hands on-get your hands dirty, founder.
The market will feature a slew of locally grown and made produce and products. Get a tarot reading sipping some slow brewed Nanyang Kopi from Adler Provisions, while you pickup the best produce from table to farm producers and rack up sustainable goods lovingly designed and made by local craftsmen.
From our first one in Holland Village back in 2018 to all the soul enriching, full house ones in Dempsey, Botanic Gardens, Macritchie, Kampong Bugis and most recently RASA Sayang Market - it’s always been about local.social and sustainable consumerism. And to do it here, in the center of the republic, what a treat x
Spend your weekend with us, discover an organic curation of local farmers as well as local craftsmen, in this area full of historical commerce now with the soul of the artisan.
