Intent of the Retreat
In an increasingly complex and demanding world, the practice of mindfulness offers a powerful, evidence-based pathway to fundamentally reshape our hearts and minds, grounded in modern neuroscience. Going beyond stress-reduction techniques, this retreat will tap the profound therapeutic potential of mindfulness and compassion practices to transform how we engage with anxiety, negative emotions, interpersonal tensions, and grief to enhance well-being and create lasting change.

Retreat Leader
Professor Ronald D. Siegel is a clinical psychologist who has taught at Harvard Medical School for over 40 years. He teaches internationally about the application of mindfulness practice in psychotherapy and mind-body treatment, serves on the Board of Directors and faculty of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, and has authored many books including Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems, and The Extraordinary Gift of Being Ordinary: Finding Happiness Right Where You Are.

HOW do I get there & back?
- You are responsible for your transportation to and from the Bintan Island via Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. To arrive by 10am on 14 Jan and to leave Bintan on the last ferry on 18 Jan. Please book your ferry tickets with Bintan Resort Ferries by accessing the followoing link: http://www.brf.com.sg
- Hotel will provide FREE transfers to and fro hotel and the Bintan Resort ferry terminal.
- Please purchase your personal travel insurance for the duration of your stay so that you can be repatriated to Singapore should there be an emergency.
Getting there on Day 1:
Depart from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
We recommend to book yourself on the 8am or 9am (Singapore time) ferry on Day 1. This will allow you sufficient time when the retreat begins at 11am.
Upon arriving at Bintan, you will be transferred to the hotel in a FREE shuttle service provided by the hotel - a 15 min ride.
Getting back on last day:
Please book your ticket onboard the 6.30pm (Bintan time) ferry on the last day.
The hotel's FREE shuttle will bring you to the ferry terminal on the day of your departure
You will be arriving at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore.Do book your pick-up in advance to avoid long waiting times.
