Theme: Appreciation & Gratitude

In today’s digital world, students often spend much of their time on screens and social media, leaving little space to notice the world around them. This workshop invites students to pause, unplug, and reconnect with the present moment. Through simple mindfulness practices and creative reflections, they will learn to appreciate what they have now, become more aware of their thoughts and feelings, and cultivate calm, contentment, and gratitude in their daily lives.


Learning Objectives:

· Cultivate awareness of the present moment and appreciation of everyday experiences.

· Discover how gratitude supports positivity and emotional well-being.

· Learn simple mindfulness tools to manage stress and stay grounded.

· Develop kindness and appreciation toward themselves and others.

Trainer Bio:

Ms Hsueh Ya Wen is a former MOE educator with 20 years of experience. Having taught students from diverse backgrounds in both primary and secondary schools, she has a deep understanding of the challenges that students are facing today.


Ya Wen’s personal journey with mindfulness has a profound impact on her own well-being, fuelling her passion in supporting the mental health of students. As a firm believer in the efficacy of mindfulness, she aspires to empower students to lead happier and healthier lives by equipping them with the essential skills for self-awareness and self-regulation. Her expertise is further strengthened by her certification as a .b Trainer from the Mindfulness in Schools Project (UK), as she is equipped with the latest techniques and methodologies.
