About this event

WHAT?

This event is exclusively for Primary 4 to 6 students.

In this 1-hour workshop, children will explore the theme of kindness, starting with how they relate to their own thoughts and feelings. Through engaging stories, group reflection, and simple calming practices, they'll learn how to recognise emotions and respond with care. We'll be using a glitter jar demonstration to help children understand how emotions can settle when we pause—and introducing a gentle “beditation” (body awareness practice) that supports emotional regulation and self-kindness. A warm and reflective session designed to nurture empathy, calm, and emotional confidence in young minds

Learning Objectives:

This workshop allows participants to:

1) Recognise what it means to be kind to themselves and others.

2) Identify emotions they experience and how these emotions show up in their bodies.

3) Understand how pausing (like watching the glitter jar settle) can help them feel calmer.

4) Experience a short body-based calming practice (“beditation”) that supports self-kindness and emotional regulation.
