Brahm Centre is a leading course provider of a wide range of science-based mindfulness programs to reduce stress and enhance well-being in today's fast paced world. We have worked with healthcare agencies, schools and corporations to equip employees, parents and students with mindfulness tools to help them stay physically and mentally well.Course graduates may enhance their practice by joining our weekly mindfulness clubs. Furthermore there  are free regular health talks conducted by healthcare professionals and qualified speakers open to the public.Launched in 2012 as a charity that aims to promote happier and healthier living, Brahm Centre is a full member of the National Council of Social Services and an Institution of Public Character.Come begin your mindfulness journey with us.Please note that all course registrations are NON-refundable. Transfer of selected mindfulness courses is subject to a $30 transfer fee and a $10 admin fee for a mindfulness make-up class. There are NO transfers or make-up classes available for all other courses.

Delve deeper into the knowledge and practice of mindfulness

For effective learning, all attendees should participate actively in the online sessions. Your audio &amp; video must be turned on during class. Please contact us for a trial run if it's your first time getting on a Zoom video conference. We would like to ensure you enjoy the best learning experience with us.This course builds on the foundational attitudes in the Mindfulness Foundation Course. It is more experiential and exploratory in nature and helps participants understand the triggers of stress and the unpleasantness experienced in life. Strategies can then be devised to cope and reframe these experiences for better outcomes.Each session lasts 2 hours, comprising of techniques, practice, group reflection and discussion.Completion of this course is a pre-requisite for attending the Mindfulness Advance Course.What are some expected outcomes of the course? <ul><li>Achieve greater awareness of our physical and mental pain</li><li>Instil self-love</li><li>Appreciation of what we have</li><li>Letting go of negative perceptions</li><li>Being at peace</li></ul>Who is this for?Graduates of the Mindfulness Foundation Course at Brahm Centre who wish to deepen their mindfulness practices and engage in a thematic self-exploration of their lives. Course fee:$160 | $32 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy subsidy**NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.Course fee may be offset by ^SkillsFuture Credit (SFC). First, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre Eventbrite page, followed by claim with SFC. Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claim upon receipt of the funds from SFC. More details on SFC will be provided upon registration.Notes:<ul><li>Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable. </li><li>Do ensure that you are able to attend the first session of the course before registering for the course as you will not be allowed to continue with the course should you miss the first session. </li><li>Request for transfers or make up-classes for selected mindfulness courses are subjected to availability and fees of $30 for transfers and $10 for make-up are applicable. </li></ul>Research OpportunityAll participants in the MIC course are invited to take part in a collaborative research study between Brahm Centre and Duke-NUS Medical School. We will send you an e-mail within a week with more details of this study, which is questionnaire-based. It will take about 1 hour in your own time and you will be compensated $15.

Trainer ProfileA/Prof Angie Chew is the founder and CEO of Brahm Centre, a registered charity dedicated to promoting happier and healthier living. She is the first in Singapore to be a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher, conferred by Brown University Center of Mindfulness, USA, in collaboration with UMass Medical School Center for Mindfulness. Angie is also certified to teach mindfulness to teens and children. She teaches the “An Undefeated Mind” course for students at the National University of Singapore and is also a Ministry of Education-registered mindfulness teacher. Angie has conducted mindfulness programmes for more than 10,000 people including corporate clients from the financial, healthcare and education sectors. Prior to her joining Brahm Centre, she served in senior positions at the Singapore Airlines, Visa International, Accenture, Hewlett-Packard and government agencies.
