The General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) are jointly organising the 48th Maritime Knowledge Shipping Session (MKSS) titled “War Risks”.

This seminar is part of the MKSS, a series of seminars where insurance and maritime experts are invited to present insights and analysis on the current and emerging trends in the marine insurance and maritime sectors.

Overview

In this session, Ms. Wang Meixian will be sharing on the challenges brought about by changes in war risks insurance markets to shipowners. After which, we will look at the legal issues on war risks marine insurance cover arising from the Russia-Ukraine war, shared by Mr. Leong Kah Wah. The last segment will be presented by Mr. Iain Cassell on helping clients navigate war risks insurance.

Who Should Attend?

Participants from business functions such as Underwriting, Claims, Specialty Classes and Actuary or support functions such as Business Development and Risk Management.

Eligibility

Agents of GIA members and insurers holding a direct general insurance license but are not GIA members are ineligible to register.

Registration

Registration for the seminar is free for all eligible participants and is limited to 200 participants. Members are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.

To attend the event, participants are required to register online by 12th July 2023, 2pm with your company email address. A confirmation email will be sent to all participants 1 to 2 working days before the event.

Certificate of Attendance

A certificate of attendance of 1.5 hours will be awarded to each participant upon quoting the attendance verification code in the feedback survey that will be displayed during the event and sent out via email after the event.
