WHAT?

Mosaic art is the decoration of a surface with small, various coloured pieces of material. The pieces, which can be made of stone, glass, tile, or a variety of other materials, are called tesserae. They are applied to the surface with an adhesive.

Using direct mosaic technique, participants will create their individual art pieces and work with different surfaces like a curved surface or flat surface, and also on different materials like wood and plastic surfaces using different kinds of tiles, specifically resin tiles.

In this course, participants will learn mosaic art skills and different ways of designing mosaic tile patterns using different kinds of mosaic tiles to create and decorate a variety of practical items that can be for personal use at home or in the office, and even as personalised gifts to friends and loves ones.
