About this event
In Singapore, an average of 46 people are diagnosed with cancer, with 16 losing their lives to the disease every day. One in four people may develop cancer in their lifetime. The risk doubles for those with a first-degree relative (parent, sibling or child) with cancer, and up to 10% of all cancers may stem from inherited genetic changes.
Early detection saves lives. To combat this growing threat, 365 Cancer Prevention Society has launched the Multi-Cancer Screening to empower cancer survivors and their family members to take proactive steps towards prevention and early detection. The free cancer screening is supported by partners Gene Solutions and Bethesda Medical, and runs from now through to 31 August 2025. It is available for all 365CPS clients who are cancer-free for at least five years, as well as first degree family members who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Non-clients can register free-of-charge, and give themselves and their loved ones the power of early detection.
365CPS’ multi-cancer screening utilises the SPOT-MAS blood test which detects the signs of cancer by analysing DNA fragments released by cancer cells in the blood. It screens for early signals of 10 common and aggressive cancers from a single blood draw. The types of cancer tested include:
- Breast
- Lung
- Colorectum
- Stomach
- Liver Biliary Tract
- Ovary
- Pancreas
- Esophagus
- Head and Neck
- Endometrium
