Mark your calendar for an intimate evening with world-renowned thereminist, synth artist, composer, and producer Shueh-li Ong.
After more than a decade since her last Singapore show, Shueh-li returns with her Moog custom Etherwave for an electrifying programme of jazz fusion, prog rock, and electronic music, set against the historic backdrop of the Battlebox at Fort Canning.
“I was given a guided tour of this underground WWII relic by my old friend Colin Goh of TRCL and was immediately struck by its charm. There was no denying the ambience would be perfect for me to present my music and the ever-so-shy theremin,” said Shueh-li.
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind performance by an artist whose theremin playing has featured on Grammy-winning albums. The theremin, played without physical contact, is one of the world’s most challenging instruments to master.
Produced and presented by Shueh-li, this unforgettable night of sound in the one-of-a-kind backdrop, is also designed in support of the next generation of music makers who will perform as part of the program’s offering. By attending, you’ll encourage their development as well as contribute to the preservation of an important site in Singapore’s history. For more information, visit shuehli.com.
