Join us for an inspiring visit to The Prosthetic Company, where you’ll gain exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the fascinating process of creating and fitting prosthetic limbs. This unique programme offers a meaningful opportunity to understand how personalized prosthetics are crafted to restore mobility and confidence for individuals who have experienced limb loss.

During the visit, you’ll meet a prosthetist—the expert who designs and fits these life-changing devices—as well as have a personal conversation with Gregory Pink, a former personal trainer who is in the process of re-learning to walk with his prosthetic leg after undergoing a below-knee amputation following a traumatic injury sustained in an accident. Gregory will share his inspiring journey of rehabilitation, resilience, and rediscovery.

Learn about the wide range of prosthetic options, from basic functional models to advanced, high-performance designs tailored for diverse needs.

Explore the on-site workshop to see firsthand how prosthetics are meticulously crafted, adjusted, and fine-tuned to fit each individual perfectly. Then, step into the gait training area, where amputees relearn to walk with their new limbs under the guidance of skilled professionals, showcasing the incredible progress made possible by prosthetic technology.

What does it mean to be reborn? For some, it is a spiritual awakening—being baptised, embracing a new faith, or finding solace in age-old rituals that mark a transition into a different way of living. For others, rebirth comes in the form of reinvention—leaving behind a troubled past, overcoming illness, or finding purpose after loss. From ex-residents who have rebuilt their lives, to individuals who have found strength in faith, community, or personal conviction, their stories remind us that transformation is always possible.

Through facilitated dialogues with the social workers, and people on the fringes of our society we hope to provide opportunities for participants to engage in candid and heartfelt conversations.

About the Organisation

The Prosthetic Company is a Social Enterprise that specialises in Prosthetics and Orthotics services in Singapore. Our mission is to inspire hope in the physically challenged.

With a one-stop centre of 5,000 square feet, we offer services ranging from consultation, transportation, prosthetics and orthotics fabrication including fitting and gait training.

We are a friendly and caring team working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, related health personnel and caregivers ensuring a high level of professional and quality care second to none.

About the Host

Gregory Eric Pink is a personal instructor known for his active lifestyle and unwavering resilience. Gregory’s life changed dramatically after a severe motorcycle accident, during which a sudden blue flash preceded a traumatic collision that left him stuck to the car he collided with—so tightly that the driver initially thought the bike was stuck to him. Following the accident, Gregory endured 14 operations to try and save his severely damaged leg, which involved intense blood loss and painstaking efforts to clean and disinfect the wound.

Despite the harrowing experience and uncertainty, Gregory maintained a sharp focus on his recovery. On the third day after the accident, fully aware of the gravity of his condition, he asked the difficult questions about the possibility of amputation. Faced with a 50-60 percent chance of saving the leg, doctors attempted to salvage it by taking muscle from his healthy side. Ultimately, Gregory chose to move forward with a below-knee amputation, a decision driven by his desire to regain mobility, return to daily life, and be there for his family — particularly important as his wife was pregnant at the time.

Just one month after receiving his prosthesis, Gregory was already walking with elbow crutches, a testament to his determination and commitment to rehabilitation. His journey involved a lengthy process: casting, production of the prosthetic over two weeks, assembly of the foot, first fitting, and gait training. Typically, patients—especially elderly—might require at least a month with walking frames before progressing to crutches, but Gregory’s strong will and active mindset accelerated his progress.

Throughout his recovery, Gregory emphasised the mental and physical challenge of enduring pain, viewing it as a perspective shift—a “free level up” in life. Balancing his rehabilitation with his responsibilities as a husband and father, he maintained a pragmatic focus: “just need to get things done” and ensure his family’s well-being.

Participants 12 years and under must be accompained and surpervised by a parent/guardian at all times.

Ending Point: The event will start and end at the same point.

The event will proceed rain or shine.

What to bring?

Participants should be dressed respectfully in smart casual (i.e. collared shirt, long pants and covered shoes). Sleeveless attire, shorts/miniskirts or sandals are strictly not allowed. Participants will be denied entry if they dress inappropriately.
Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.

Parking is available at 211 Henderson Road.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Photography is allowed during the event.

Participants must abide by the house rules set out by the host. Facilitators will brief participants at the start of the programme.
