A mention of the place "Holland Village" and trendy cafes and upscale fashion boutiques immediately spring to mind. The rustic, old town charm of this popular neighbourhood is recently elevated by swanky, new developments at the village centre. Who would have thought that Holland Village was once a rubber plantation and a military camp?

Take a stroll around Holland Village with My Community as we trace the neighbourhood's colourful heritage through iconic landmarks at Chip Bee Gardens and Lorong Mambong, where villagers from the rubber estate once gathered to sell or buy their farm produce.

This tour also includes a memorable visit to Singapore's oldest Hakka memorial hall at Shuang Long Shan and the Ying Fo Fui Kun cemetery.

Meeting Point: Holland Village MRT Station Exit A (Concourse Level - Opposite KOI teh shop) - Please meet fifteen minutes before the start of the tour.
Ending Point: Commonwealth MRT Station
The tour will proceed rain or shine.

What to bring or wear?

Wear suitable shoes and comfortable clothes for a 3-hour walk.
Bring along hand sanitizer, insect repellant, a bottle of water, and an umbrella.
If you have earphones with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, please bring them along (for radio guides during the tour).
Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.

Please do not sign up for the tour if you are unsure of your schedule. Our volunteers have committed their time to this tour – Your unforeseen absence may discourage our volunteers from organizing any physical tours.
You must cancel this ticket if you are unwell and cannot turn up.
Participants who have signed up for the tour but did not turn up will be banned permanently from My Community’s future tours.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
