My Prayers and Practices: Russian Orthodox Church with Bishop Pitirim

Learn about the prayers and practices of the Russian Orthodox Church, a minority Christian group in Singapore! Meet Bishop Pitirim who will be taking participants on a tour of the facility and sharing about how they create a sense of home for their devotees.

About the Russian Orthodox Diocese of Singapore

The Russian Orthodox Diocese of Singapore was established on 12 October 2007 after a 2003 tour of Southeast Asia convinced Metropolitan Kirill (now Patriarch of Moscow, the highest authority in the Russian Orthodox Church) that an official religious community was needed for the Russian diaspora to cohere towards. In 2014, the Church moved to its present location at 110 Highland Road. Today, a larger premise is currently under construction at the upcoming Russian Cultural Centre.

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the event for registration. Our facilitators will be wearing our event t-shirt.
• Parking is not available.
• Venue is not wheelchair accessible.
• The event will proceed rain or shine.

Who should come?

• Participants must be fully vaccinated.

What to bring?

• Participants should be dressed respectfully in smart casual (i.e. collared shirt, long pants and covered shoes). Sleeveless attire, shorts/miniskirts or sandals are strictly not allowed. Participants will be denied entry if they dress inappropriately.
• Participants should bring along an umbrella and a bottle of water.
• Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
