Be transported to Vietnam as you savour Kathy’s Vietnamese delights while hearing her vivid stories of her childhood in Vietnam!

About this event

Hailing from the coastal city of Da Nang, Vietnam, Tran (you can call her Kathy!) will be presenting dishes from her hometown! Savour the clean and fresh flavours of her signature Pho/Mi Kuang as she shares more about living in Singapore and her life back in Vietnam!

About the cook

I was born in Da Nang, Vietnam and I came to Singapore in 2010. I am a multi-tasker that never stops working - I am currently tour guide but also an active volunteer at my neighbourhood’s Residents’ Committees. My passion for food runs deep and I especially love cooking with fresh vegetables and herbs. In the morning, I would go to the market in search of the freshest produce. In front of my flat, you can see the herbs and vegetables I plant and use in my cooking!

What’s the story behind the dishes at the dinner?

The dishes I am presenting will reflect the diverse culture of Vietnam. I will be cooking some of the iconic food from my hometown in Da Nang such as spring rolls as well as Pho/Mi Kuang. They will be different from the food in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi more common in Vietnamese restaurants in Singapore.
