Synopsis
After a 2022 that was filled with deep uncertainties, the fog around the air seems to be clearing up in 2023. The economic outlook is likely to remain challenging for another quarter or two. However, we expect inflation to be of moderate levels and economic growth should start to pick up again, by the second half of 2023. Although almost all asset classes performed poorly in 2022, we think that 2023 is likely to offer several investment opportunities.

Mr Wei Hong - He is part of the UOB Asset Management’s Intermediary Sales Team, responsible for the external distribution relationships with financial intermediaries in Singapore. With over 12 years of working experience, Wei Hong started as a relationship manager in mass banking and moved to premier banking. Thereafter he was an investment counsellor and he moved to a team lead position where he covered retail, premier and premier private banking segments. Prior to joining UOB Asset Management, Wei Hong was a team lead in the premier private banking segment at a local bank, where he helped to oversee and manage portfolios of many HNWI.
Mr Edneth Chan - He is a Relationship Manager of Phillip Securities Pte Ltd. Edneth has been in the Financial Industry for over 8 years since 2014. He is currently managing the portfolios for clients of Jurong West and Bukit Batok Investor Centres. A personality well known in his area of expertise, he is also in line to be a Dual Licensed consultant to better manage your portfolios!
