Will there be a bag deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do have allocated space for bag deposit. However space is limited in store or on-site so we do recommend runners to travel light and avoid having multiple bags or important documents.

Question 2

Will there be hydration provided?

Accepted Answer

We do have 100 plus Active available at the warm up area to keep you hydrated. We encourage runner to bring your own water bottle for refilling purpose and to reduce wastage from the unfinished can drinks.

Question 3

I'm joining a running group for the first time. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Get yourself equipped with the right attire and shoes so you will be comfortable during the run itself. As a first timer, you may want to bring along a friend with you so it will not be too overwhelming. You may also approach our NBRC pacers to brief you more on the session that you're attending.

What can I look out for in a typical session.

Accepted Answer

We emphasise quite abit on the warm up, having a good warm up routine is key to getting you ready to start the run/workout.. After which we will start the run/workout which varies from intervals, tempo runs and occasionally we include strength work. Lastly a cool down stretch. Making new friends!

Question 5

What are the different pace groups available?

Accepted Answer

We cater different pace groups to different experience level of runners and also individuals who have different goal pace. Jan to June  we have (/km) 5mins, 5.30mins, 6mins, 6.30mins, 7 mins and Happy group.  July to Dec we have(/km) 4.45mins, 5.15mins, 5.45mins, 6.15mins, 6.45mins and Happy Group.

What is the average distance?

Our runs usually range from 5km, 6km, 8km and 10km.

Are there beginner-friendly groups or programs?

Accepted Answer

For individuals who are new to joining group exercise/run. We would encourage you to join the Happy group that usually runs a shorter distance at a more manageable pace.

Can I register on-site?

Accepted Answer

We do encourage runners to pre-register for the run so we are able to gauge  how much of drinks to prepare for the day itself.  Above that we will also be able to have a smoother registration process on-site as well.

Question 9

What attire should I wear and bring for the workout session?

Accepted Answer

You are encourage to wear a comfortable sports attire (IDEALLY New balance shoes/attire since you are at NBRC).  However if you do not have any New Balance apparels/shoe, feel free to head down to the store and we have retail staff to advise you. Otherwise it is ok to come in any brand sports wear.
